After every visitor had departed, the Bishop summoned the Priest who had guided “Seo Gio” that day.
Carrying a white lantern and dressed in white Priest Robes, the Priest entered the chamber where Death’s incarnation resided and paid his respects. He extinguished the lantern, went before the Bishop seated within the darkness, and waited for her words.
“You worked hard today.”
The Bishop soon spoke.
“It must have been trying.”
“It was my honor.”
“You must surely have spent the day in anxiety.”
“This Priest remains inadequate…”
“Who could stand with back unbent before a Divinity?”
“I thank you for your boundless benevolence.”

The Bishop motioned for him to sit and asked,
“Tell me what you saw and heard.”
“Yes, Bishop.”
The Priest bowed deeply and continued.
“That person appeared extraordinarily skilled in dealing with humans.”
“So it seemed to me as well.”
