“Wh-what are you…!!”
The Ancestor looks flustered as he sees me opening the door. His reaction clearly says, Why are you opening that?
Seeing that, I let out a short snort.
“Because I’m curious.”
“Nonsense. I told you, didn’t I? There won’t be anything anyway because the amount of information can’t reach this place.”
“Exactly.”
I judged that from the Ancestor’s words.
“If there’s nothing, why are you stopping me?”
The Ancestor falls silent.
That wasn’t the only strange thing.
“On top of that—normally you’d stop time or pull all sorts of tricks, but this time you didn’t do any of that.”
“Th-that is…!”
“If it’s like this, it’s one of two things.”
I raised one finger.
“Either you’re finally running out of strength and can’t use it anymore.”
I raised a second.
“Or this is a place where that won’t work.”
“Right?”
No answer. Which meant yes. The Ancestor couldn’t stop me here. It meant there was something here that he couldn’t block.
