The moment I saw Je Hyuno, only one thought came to mind.
My Subordinate!
I was not curious in the slightest about how he had entered a Trial with a participant limit.
You must have missed me.
So much that you could not wait even a little.
A fair amount of time had passed inside the Trial, but outside, it must truly have been only an instant.
Yet he had been unable to endure even that and had come looking for his master. A smile rose to my lips without my realizing it.
Smiling, I looked at my Subordinate.
He approached me at a leisurely pace.
Boot prints made of blood stamped themselves across the floor.
Leaving red tracks behind him, he stopped in front of me and examined me.
I could feel his gaze sweeping over me.
I liked the moment when my Subordinate thought of no one but me.
And just as I thought….
I liked his original form best.
The form that imitated a human was not my Subordinate’s true nature.
I liked the strongest, swiftest metal wings, the metal hands that could cleave through anything, and the golden pupils set in the centers of his eyes.
After staring intently at my smiling face, my Subordinate finally turned his gaze away.
CEO Cha stood frozen, sword in hand, at my Subordinate’s sudden appearance.
Even for him, this had to be a first.
Je Hyuno had forcibly broken through the Trial’s System to enter.
It was an act beyond all specifications, one that shook order and law themselves.
“Lieutenant Colonel Je…. So you had a trick I didn’t know about.”
My Subordinate showed no reaction whatsoever to CEO Cha’s words.
He merely held CEO Cha within the dark lenses of his goggles.
BOOM!
Then he immediately lashed out with a metal hand.
The white sword and black metal collided.
The perilous scrape of friction continued for an instant before Je Hyuno swung a metal wing.
CEO Cha pulled back, but only after the razor-sharp blade had already grazed his skin.
Blood sprayed, speckling his test-subject uniform.
Je Hyuno…
