In S2P’s True Ending, the fire dragon Infernum fought the player as the final boss.
After the player drove out Infernum, who had reigned as a tyrant, the twins became the dungeon’s new masters and restored peace.
But although I had seen the defeated Infernum flee, I swore that I had never once killed or captured him and cooked him.
“I leave the cooking method to your discretion, Mr. Gunbam. However, I would like the eyes and heart served whole, without discarding any portion.”
“……”
“Mr. Gunbam. Do not worry too much. Hunting the fire dragon will not be difficult. Am I not your companion?”
He seemed to have interpreted my frozen reaction in a different way.
He encouraged me, saying that he would help with the hunt and that even the young Mr. Gunbam could accomplish it.
As I listened to him, I carefully chose my answer.
‘I can’t refuse.’
What I wanted to ask was whether he truly had to eat a fire dragon and whether he could not simply eat whatever I served him.
But if I did, there was no knowing what Dominic—already displeased by the Fire Dragon’s Seal—might do.
The answer I could give was effectively predetermined.
“I’m not confident… but I’ll do my best, Mr. Dominic.”
The only problem was how I would resolve this in the future.
