‘Sword’.
From the distant prehistoric era, humanity has revered bladed tools. Tools made by breaking and shaping stones have served various roles. Sometimes as farming implements, sometimes as ritual objects, sometimes as weapons.
Among them, one of the items with the longest history is undoubtedly the sword. This primitive tool, which has received humanity’s favor for a long time alongside spears and bows, continues to function in active service even after thousands of years have passed.
That was the reason I had come to ‘Heavenly Sword Mountain’.
This mountain, located in the middle of the desert, is layered with great myths and traditions. Rumors say that at its origin lies the sword that severed the progenitor of all evils, and that guardians who have developed unique swordsmanship to protect it exist.
Of course, some people say. That it’s just a legend, after all.
Humanity’s history has been a continuous series of prosperities. Technological innovations occur not every few thousand years, but every few decades. How could antiquities and skills from thousands of years ago possibly surpass the modern era?
It was indeed a reasonable inference.
