‘Celine’ had become a riddle to me.
Where she was and what she was doing, what she was thinking, and whether I even had the qualification to claim to be Celine’s savior. I had asked myself countless times, but no suitable answer came to mind. Even though we had once been close enough to understand each other’s innermost thoughts without speaking.
Today was the same.
Why had Celine announced the attack? Until now, the Dark Church had used ‘surprise attacks’ as their main strategy. As an organization that had lurked in the shadows of the continent for thousands of years, there was no doubt that it was the method to maximize the Dark Church’s power.
Nevertheless, Celine had rejected it.
Why on earth?
Did it mean she was that confident? Or perhaps it was a kind of childish rebellion. There could be no hesitation in the declaration to rightfully reclaim what was hers.
