“You see Gio as a person?”

Yoo Seongwoon corrected himself.

“Ah, no. My apologies. You mean that is how he appears to you?”

“You may speak casually. The way you do with Mr. Gio.”

“…Maybe it’s because I didn’t get much of an education when I was young, but informal speech comes more naturally to me. I don’t mean anything bad by it, so please don’t take offense.”

“I already know that you are a good man, Mr. Yoo Seongwoon, so you needn’t worry.”

“Oh, really? I wouldn’t go so far as to call myself a good man… but I’m grateful that’s how you see me.”

The man was remarkably good-natured about someone three years younger openly declaring that he would speak down to him.

‘He’s such an upright, wholesome person that I almost wonder why the Guild Master hates him so much….’

Yoo Seongwoon passed over the unease he felt toward his superior without comment and gave a light smile.

“In any case, this is quite an unusual consultation.”

After finishing his meeting with Bisabeol, Yoo Seongwoon had enjoyed a sound sleep at home for the first time in ages. Upon waking, he visited his neighbor Juhyeon to ask how he was doing. He had not actually intended to come inside, but Juhyeon had ushered him in, and here they were.

“Impressive in a sense, too.”

As he drank the tea Juhyeon had offered him, Yoo Seongwoon blinked eyes that had yet to fully wake.

“…Uh, wait. Is this tea from Gio?”

“Ah, yes. He said it was made from Basram Flowers. Is there a problem?”

“…No. It won’t kill me, at least.”

It was unlikely to contain anything lethal.
